Good Friday Service 7pm April 18th
We are not a mega-church or even a medium-church. We are a nondenominational, evangelical micro-church of about 60 vibrant souls ranging in age from small children to seasoned seniors. We, like those who started this church over 130 years ago, endeavor to make this a place where people can meet Jesus and engage in life-giving community. Everyone is welcome. We want people to have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory.
Please plan to attend our services more than once so that you can get a flavor for what God is doing among us. May the Holy Spirit guide you to the place where you will flourish in love and service.
Our church service begins at 10:00 AM each Sunday at 530 Walnut Street in Windsor, Colorado. The church building is just south of the Post Office on the northeast corner of Walnut and 6th Street. The entrance to the church is on the southwest corner of the building. In the foyer, you'll see a table with a connect card you may fill out, along with prayer request slips. You may fill out either and place them in the offering box at the back of the church. If you want someone to contact you and have provided contact information, someone will connect with you the following week.
A typical Sunday morning service duration is about an hour. We sing, we pray, we hear a message from the Bible, and we partake in an open communion each Sunday. Open communion means that anyone who professes faith in Jesus Chirst may participate. The children have a special service of their own after a Children's Sermon in the sanctuary with the adults. Teens have a 20-minute class starting at 9:30 a.m. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship (we have some extraordinary cooks in our midst!).
6:00 pm
PASTOR: Our Pastor is Bob Pittman.
CHURCH COUNCIL: The Pastor and Elders serve the church under the direction of the Council.
SUNDAY MORNING MESSAGE: The Pastor and the Board of Elders are responsible for preparing church services and providing messages from the Bible.
PARTICIPATION: During the services, various people will lead part of the service - such as giving announcements, reading scripture, offering prayer, and giving the benediction.
MUSIC: Our music is live, led by the Music Team and is a mixture of modern music and traditional hymns.
GIVING: We believe giving of time, talents, gifts, and resources is a part of worship. Instead of passing a plate, we have an offering box in the back of the sanctuary.
MEMBERSHIP: After you know God wants you to become part of our church family, our Elders will walk you through the membership process. It's not difficult, but we want you to know the requirements that keep our church body safe and functional.
